18 April at 20:00-22:00, Baxter Theatre, Cape Town. Cape Town Concert Series presents Trio Esperanza: Liesl Stoltz (flute), Polina Burdukova (cello), and Kerryn Wisniewski (piano), all critically acclaimed musicians who have been successfully performing together and separately around the country and abroad. 2 May, 13:15-14:15, at Wits Great Hall, Johannesburg. Khanyisile Mthethwa (flute) and Peter Cartwright (piano) begin their 2018 season with a short recital at Wits. Sunday 27 May 2018 09h30. 11 Regent Street, Greyton: Histoire du Tango, at the Greyton Genadendal Classics for All Festival: The Zomari Duo of guitarist James Grace and flautist Bridget Rennie-Salonen present “Histoire du Tango”, a varied recital for flute and guitar, revolving around Astor Piazzolla’s iconic work L’histoire du tango. Also featured on the programme are works by Brazilian composer Celso Machado, and Argentinean Mximo Diego Pujol.
