Unplugged live concerts in Cape Town – Nov 2019

Dear Music Lovers

Leading up to the Festive Season Cape Town has some lovely concerts this month starting with three tomorrow:

Christchurch Constantia continue their series on the first Sunday of the month with pianist Charl du Plessis crossing genres with highlights from his newly released solo cd Freehand. A new series starting in Parklands called Cottage Concerts also starts on Sunday afternoon with the Trio de Musique & Sweet Petals catering, and for choral fans there is the famous Requiem by Faure at St Georges at 6pm.

The CPO season continues with pianist Dimitry Shishkin then Brahms Requiem, organist Luke Bond and violinist Yuri Revich.

Erin Hall has 4 concerts this month – Back to Broadway, Faure piano solos with Pieter van Zyl, Die Schöne Müllerin with Robert Brooks and Hans Rabe and a tribute to Sade with March Underwood.

The Cape Town Concert Series completes it’s year of premiere recitals with a Celebrity evening featuring violinist Anthony Marwood with pianist Aleksandar Madzar at the Baxter.

For jazz fans saxophonist Chad Lefkowitz-Brown will feature at Hazendal and Casa Labia, and folk fans can see the Hatchetmen with Jenny and the James at the newly opened Jagger Lounge on Shortmarket.

And many more – please see below for posters and booking, with further details on facebook, FMR, whatsonincapetown, Computicket, Webtickets and Quicket.

Time to make a date with live music this November.

Kind regards
Louise
