Play Trinity Rock & Pop App

Trinity College London launches the Play Trinity Rock & Pop app

Trinity College London’s new app, Play Trinity Rock & Pop, is now live and available to download for free for both iOS and Android phones from Apple iTunes or Google Play. Produced as part of the new Rock & Pop 2018 graded exam syllabus package, the app provides musicians with an exciting new way to practise by putting them in control of a digital mixing desk.

Learners can download well-known songs from the Rock & Pop syllabus into the app, either as individual songs or bundles. The app allows them to adjust the volume of each instrument or to mute specific instruments altogether, and play or sing along to the track. They can also do things like alter the tempo and pitch, loop difficult sections, and see scrolling lyrics. An individual song costs £0.99 while a bundle of eight songs costs £3.99.

Speaking about what the app will mean for teachers and learners Tom Lee, Trinity’s Director of Product Management & Development, said:

‘Our Rock & Pop teachers and learners often ask us for support materials to help them with lessons, practice and exam preparation. The new Play Trinity Rock & Pop app will be a real game-changer, as it allows learners to play and sing along with the professional session musicians on the recordings, gaining confidence and improving their technical and performance skills. There really is no better way for learners and teachers to engage with, learn and perform the fantastic selection of songs in our new Rock & Pop 2018 syllabus.’
